"BEHOLD what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him." 1 John 3.1
Even the bakery owner's son is considered by the world. But what good is it if a person tells the world that he is a child of God? The world doesn't know your FATHER!
This is the war faced by the Christian. If on the spiritual side he has the privilege of being called a son of the Creator, in the world that title is worthless.
"Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is." 1 John 3.2
We will be transformed according to your Glory!
"And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure." 1 John 3.3
Many lose this hope, feel tired over time, give in to hell's proposals and no longer want to sacrifice for something that does not bring them the benefits of the world.
‘Purifying himself’ means that only the person himself is able to know what he has to clean in order to remain until the end.
