UNIVERSAL CHURCH OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD: A PLACE WHERE A NEW LIFE AWAITS YOU!
When we are in need, it is natural to look for familiar places that offer help. There are many places around us—such as hospitals, schools, and police stations—where we can find assistance. However, there is also a unique place that not only provides physical support but also spiritual guidance. Every problem has a solution, and the Universal Church is dedicated to helping you identify the root of your problems and discover the spiritual strength needed to overcome them.
Who are we?
The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) is a HelpCenter founded in Brazil in 1977 by Bishop Edir Macedo. It all began under a small shelter in a park in Rio de Janeiro, where
Bishop Edir preached to a few people using a microphone, a speaker, and a Bible. Today, this work has spread throughout Brazil, with over 5,000 churches across the country, and has reached more than 130 countries worldwide—including the Philippines, where it began on November 9, 1995, and continues to grow.
The Universal Church is a growing church and organization, always focused on helping people to transform their lives. In addition to being a daily spiritual HelpCenter, we carry out practical, faith-based activities that address the needs of people of all ages and walks of life.
What Is Our Mission?
Evangelism Group (EVG)
To help people transform their lives through the power of faith. We guide individuals towards a life transformation—people who came broken but are now living in happiness and peace.
This has been proven over the years. We have seen many people from different backgrounds come to the church burdened with problems—sick, sad, and without hope. But everything changed when they learned the way of faith.
The Universal Church here in the Philippines is made up of the following groups:
A group that goes to different places to reach out and help those in need. They provide not only physical assistance but, above all, spiritual support—the kind that can truly transform a person’s life.
Every Saturday at 9am, they gather together and go out to different places to fulfill their mission: sharing the Gospel with those in need. Life is not easy, and they understand that it can be even more difficult without someone to lean
on.
That is why the people in this group are ready to help during life’s most difficult moments. You do not have to face your problems alone.
They are willing to listen, guide, and support you by sharing their own experiences and challenges they have overcome through faith, as well as practical help and spiritual encouragement.
Universal Teen Force (UTF)
A group composed of young people aged 11 to 14, designed to prepare them for early adolescence—a stage marked by significant physical, emotional, and mental changes.
This period serves as a transition into adulthood, when young people begin to understand the long-term effects of their actions and start forming their own identity.
The group was created to provide direction and guidance, helping them make wise decisions for their future.
It emphasizes the importance of every choice they make and encourages them to build a strong relationship with God from a young age, in order to achieve positive outcomes in life.
The UTF gathering takes place every Sunday at 9:30am and includes different activities such as
dancing and games. Most importantly, they discuss topics that relate to the realities and experiences of young people today.
Kindly take note that the time for the UTF gatherings can be different at other locations. You
may visit your local Universal Church to find out more.
Victory Youth Group (VYG)
A group created for young people aged 15 to 25, aimed at preparing them for the deeper decisions they need to make and face in life. This stage requires careful attention to ensure that the path they choose leads to success.
At this point in life, many young people are led down the wrong path due to poor direction— often influenced by negative peer pressure and the natural desire to explore and experience new things.
This group was formed to guide young people in exploring new experiences in the right way and to help them become confident about the direction they want their lives to take. It also aims to help them avoid decisions or actions that could harm their future.
They have different projects like Media, Kultura, Band, Help, and Sports. Every Sunday, the youth gather in the VYG Hangout at 2pm.
Kindly take note that the day and time can be different at other locations. You may visit your local Universal Church to find out more.
Caleb Group
A group created for older adults aged 50 and above. It aims to help them stay active at this stage of life—not only physically, but also mentally. They gather together every Sunday after the 10am service and spend the afternoon participating in various activities.
Because of their greater life experience, they are also able to support and help others who may be going through the same challenges they have already overcome.
Many elderly people find themselves alone and forgotten by their family members. The Caleb Group aims to show them that they are not alone during this stage of life. Through the group’s activities, they learn, grow, strengthen their faith, and build healthy friendships.
This group encourages them to make the most of their time in a meaningful way—by continuing to grow personally and by helping others. Through this group, each person is able to recognize their value and see that there is still much they can do, beyond any physical limitations.
