The Lord Jesus gave us a mission to go all over the world and preach the good news to all kinds of people, including those who are considered less valuable by society. This is the work that UBB (Universal Behind Bars) does, to bring the Word of God to the inmates which has the power to transform their lives.
Our volunteers from UCKG La Union conducted a special prayer to the inmates of La Union Provincial Jail with the purpose of bringing a new life for them through the Word of God.
Aside from that, our UBB (Universal Beyond Bars) group in Cubao also made a special visit to a jail in Pasay 2 Sundays ago with the same intention of helping them to receive a new life. Although the stories and experiences are different, the Word of God they received gave them strength and inspiration for a new start.
They visited as well the inmates of Urdaneta District Jail together with the police officers who participated as well. They received prayers and counseling which are needed for them to be spiritually delivered. Despite of their past, through this work, we let them know and feel that God still cares for them and that He wants them to be transformed.
This work that we do have benefited many prisoners who felt alone and despised by the society and even by their own family. But we, in the Universal Church desires to reach more people to bring Jesus to them and to receive a new life.
