“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
This is a promise from God for every weary soul who comes to Him.
It does not matter what sins have been committed, who they once were, or even if they are behind bars today—God’s invitation remains open to all.
But His promise requires an action — to come to Him, to surrender every burden, every pain, every fear, and every guilt. For only in Him can true peace and rest be found.
This was the message shared last Tuesday, May 12, with the 35 PDLs (Persons Deprived of Liberty) at the Koronadal City Police Station.
This work takes place every second Tuesday of the month.
No prison bar can stop the Word of God from reaching those who need Him.
Because every person — even behind bars — is a precious soul to God and in need of salvation.
"At the beginning of the prison work, many inmates carried heaviness, sadness, and hopelessness. But after hearing the Word of God, their hearts slowly changed — they found interest, strength, hope, and joy. More than the snacks they received, it was God’s Word that truly touched them. Being part of this work is a privilege, helping lives be restored and come to know God more deeply." — Volunteer Marjorie Cardenas shared her experience.
