The work of UBB in Tuguegarao

Last month, on August 30, the UBB team in Tuguegarao visited 231 inmates in the Cagayan Provincial Jail in Carig, Tuguegarao City.

Macaroni soup was distributed, along with a spiritual message for the inmates. The message focused on the importance of having a sincere heart and humility before God, so that there can be reconciliation with Him.

Many inmates had once turned away from God and, as a result, made mistakes that led to their current condition as prisoners. But God has not abandoned them. When we draw near to God with a sincere heart and a humble spirit, just as the prodigal son did, there can be reconciliation with the Father, and our lives can be transformed.

“And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’  But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet… for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.” — Luke 15:21-22, 24

After the message, a prayer of surrender and repentance was made, giving everyone the opportunity to seek God and return to Him.

It was an opportunity for salvation—both for those who had turned away from God and for those who had never yet had a personal encounter with Him.

God has not forgotten them. There is always a way back to the Father.

Through the work of UBB, the message of hope continues to reach people wherever they are, reminding them that no matter their past or present circumstances, they can turn to God, seek His forgiveness, and begin a new life with Him.
