God uses different ways to get our attention and call us back to Him. He does not want our souls to perish, so He directs our focus to the things that truly matter.
God has called us to pursue what is of eternal value. Therefore, let us choose what is best for our souls and what will draw us closer to His will. He continually reminds us of the importance of making the right decisions and returning to His presence.
“Hear this, you elders, And give ear, all you inhabitants of the land! Has anything like this happened in your days, Or even in the days of your fathers?” Joel 1:2
Just as God called the people in Joel’s time to pay attention to what was happening around them, He also uses circumstances, warnings, and opportunities today to awaken us spiritually and lead us back to Him.
“I learned that when we drift away from God's presence, we may still experience blessings and success for some time, but suddenly everything can be lost. That is why God awakens people, especially those who have given up on their relationship with Him because of the things of this world. God desires for them to return to Him because He still wants to have a relationship with us. However, the decision remains ours whether we will obey His Word or not. Therefore, it is important to put God first in our lives and make Him our highest priority so that we may receive eternal life with Him.” - Micah Samuelle Balbontin, shared her experience.
