Sunday of Psalm 122 in Santiago

The Sunday of the Psalm 122 in Santiago was truly a blessing.  It was a Sunday filled with prayers and a special teaching on the importance of the House of God and the need to depend completely on Him.

In times of pain or joy, in good moments or difficult ones, the House of God is our place of refuge.

“I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go into the house of the LORD.’”

Psalm 122:1

Through the Word of God, we can understand that the church is not an ordinary place. It is a place that should be valued because it is where we receive the Word that corrects us, comforts us, and guides us.

No one can receive salvation without hearing the Word of God. That is why we need to be in His House, where we can hear His Word, learn from it, and strengthen our faith.

We also learned the importance of taking care of our inner house—our hearts. We understood that only those who are saved can experience true joy. Those who find forgiveness are saved, and forgiveness is found by those who also learn to forgive.

That is why we need to cleanse our hearts daily, removing anything that may distance us from God, so that He can dwell within us.

“During the service, I learned about forgiveness, and how to have peace, joy and the assurance of my salvation. I also understood how important it is to share with others what I have received from God. The service also reminded me that the House of God is also my house, and I should value and take care of it.

I also realized that I am the church. What I carry inside me can influence and be shared with others. Because of this, I want to carry the peace and Spirit of God wherever I go and be a blessing to the people around me.

I prayed for the Bishop, Pastors, Assistants, and all the members of the church, asking God for their spiritual prosperity and for more people to receive the Spirit of God.

Above all, I learned that my faith must always come first.” — Mhavic Furoc shared her experience.
