People are concerned about arming themselves (guaranteeing) with various things ... position, assets, titles etc.
However, the Lord Holy Spirit command us to arm ourselves with a single thought weapon:
“Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.” 1 Peter 4.1-2
We have little time left, and our life in the flesh too, so we must:
- Being armed in our mind, thinking about the things from above;
- Policing our thoughts;
- Be ready to suffer for Jesus;
- Invest everything in the Baptism with the Holy Spirit;
- Be vigilant;
- and keep Salvation until the end.
