Forgiveness is the greatest sacrifice we can offer.

Have you ever experienced rejection? Is your heart filled with resentment and grudges?

This is one of the main reasons why some people remain in the church for years without experiencing true transformation—because they do not forgive.

Jesus died on the cross to save our soul; it is not the body that needs salvation. We will all grow old, and one day we will die. At that moment, there will be a separation between the body, the soul, and the spirit. Our body returns to dust, our spirit returns to God, but our soul has two possible destinations—heaven or hell. And nobody wants to go to hell.

Hell is a place of torment, a prison for the soul created by God for the devil and his demons—not for people.

However, to create a path back to Him, God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross. The only way we can benefit from Jesus’ sacrifice is by surrendering our soul to Him and accepting Him as our personal Savior. Then we will live according to the will of God.

And forgiveness is the greatest sacrifice we can offer.

“Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.” – Matthew 5:23–24

Even if we make financial sacrifices, but do not truly give our life—our soul, our past, present, and future; our dreams and hopes; our pain, grudges, and resentment—on the altar, the transformation through the baptism with the Holy Spirit will not happen.

And it is the Holy Spirit who will keep us in the faith until we enter heaven; no amount of blessings or miracles can do that.

If we want Jesus to live in our heart, we must surrender hatred, fear, regrets, greed, malice, grudges, envy, bitterness, shame, guilt, sadness, lies, and insecurity, so that Jesus will have space in our heart—so He live in us.
