Why is it important to pray for your children?

Children are a gift from God, as it says in Psalm 127:3, “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.”

Caring for children is a concern that stays with parents throughout every stage of life. They guide, support, and do everything they can to protect them. However, despite all their efforts, there are situations that are beyond their control.

That is why faith is a fundamental part of this care.

Why is it important to pray for your children?

Parents cannot always be nearby or prevent everything that might happen. Therefore, prayer becomes a way to entrust to God what they cannot control.

When praying for their children, parents ask God to protect them, preserve their health, and deliver them from evil. In addition, through the anointing, they place their children’s lives before God and express their trust in His divine care.

The Bible also shows the importance of bringing children into God’s presence. The Lord Jesus said:

“…Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.” — Luke 18:16

Thus, prayer does not replace daily care, but rather complements it. While parents do what is within their power, they also use their faith to seek God’s protection.

This Sunday, September 27 at 10am, parents are encouraged to bring their children to receive a special prayer and anointing for protection, good health and deliverance from all harm.
