VYG Hangout – Transition

When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.” Ephesians 4:8–9

The Necessary but Dangerous Emptiness To be filled by God, we must first be emptied of ourselves. Yet emptiness is only meant to be temporary. Just as Jesus descended before He ascended, God allows moments of surrender to prepare us for spiritual elevation. Emptiness makes room for His power, purpose, and presence.

Choosing the Will of God One of the greatest challenges for every young believer is doing God’s will above their own.

We all have desires—but true fulfillment comes from aligning our hearts with Him.

“Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

Jesus demonstrated perfect obedience by setting aside His own will to follow the Father. In contrast, Adam and Eve chose their desires over God’s command. Today, the choice remains ours.

From this day forward, we declare: “I choose to do the will of my Father!”

When we deny ourselves and follow Him, we open our hearts to receive the Holy Spirit and walk in divine purpose.

True Surrender: No Conditions Many young people repeatedly “surrender” their lives, yet hesitate when called to serve. Genuine surrender transforms everything.

It is like giving a gift. A true gift comes without restrictions. You cannot offer it and still dictate how it is used.

Likewise, when we give our lives to Jesus, we trust Him completely—without conditions, limitations, or reservations.

A Challenge for This Generation This message is a call to bold, authentic faith.

- Are you willing to be emptied so God can fill you?

- Will you choose His will over your own?

- Have you truly surrendered your life to Christ?

- Are you ready to be used for His glory?

Be emptied. Be filled. Be transformed.

Rise and live for God’s purpose.
