Mega Help: Roots

The Mega Help Event is an initiative that combines art and hope to promote mental health awareness. Organized by Help Project PH, this campaign promotes the value of life and aims to help young people overcome emotional challenges in their lives.

On Sunday, September 27, the Mega Help Event, with the theme “Roots”, will be held at the Marikina Sports Center, located at #24 Sumulong Highway, Marikina City.

The theme “Roots” invites young people on a journey of self-discovery and healing. It aims to help them understand the roots of the pain that have shaped their stories and experiences.

By recognizing these roots—traumas, losses, and conflicts that may remain unseen but are deeply present—participants will have the opportunity to understand their pain and transform it into strength.

The event seeks to offer hope and a fresh start, especially to those who may be struggling with thoughts of giving up on life. Through meaningful activities, shared experiences, and messages of hope, Mega Help aims to show that there are ways to overcome life's challenges and that no one has to face them alone.

Furthermore, there will be other exciting activities that will make the event meaningful and special:

·       Enjoy the music and sing along with the VYG Band;

·       Be inspired by the theater performance;

·       Join the raffle draw for a chance to take home exciting prizes;

·       Be amazed by the talented voices of the participants in the Mega Voice Competition;

·       Test your knowledge with the challenging questions in the Mega Quiz; and

·       Learn how to overcome life's challenges through the Mega Talk and Mental Health Seminar.

In addition to the activities, the Vent Corner will be available as a safe and caring space for people who need emotional support. The Help Project Ph volunteers, who have overcome their own struggles, will be there to listen without judgment, offering understanding, empathy, and confidentiality. The Vent Corner is for anyone who may be carrying invisible pain, such as depression, anxiety, or other emotional struggles. Sometimes, simply having someone who listens and understands can make a big difference.
