VYG HANGOUT: Don’t Just Know It, Live It

Knowing how things work is much easier than actually accomplishing them. Knowing means understanding what you should do; doing, on the other hand, is putting that knowledge into practice.

In today’s world, it’s easy to learn how to do things, but implementing them in life is a different matter. Understanding how things work is a great tool, but learning how to live by that understanding is what makes it meaningful.

Many people who read the Bible know every word in the Scriptures, but not everyone lives by them. They may memorize the Bible, but they don’t take it to heart. Believing that simply gaining knowledge is enough for growth is misleading. Reading the Bible alone will not benefit you fully; it is reading and obeying the Word of God that brings true prosperity in life.

As it is written in Proverbs 3:1, “My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands.” The Bible is not meant only to be memorized—it is meant to be followed daily. God sees everything you do, even behind closed doors. He knows whether you are truly living by His Word or simply reading it.

You gain nothing by just knowing God without living according to His ways. Learn to trust God, trust His Word, and live it out in your daily life. As Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

Stop relying only on yourself, and start relying on God. Humans have limits, but with God, all things are possible.

VYG Hangout happens every Sunday at 2pm.
