A covenant with God is what supports the marriage in order to remain until the end—nothing will break it. When a couple has a covenant with God first, then they will keep their covenant to each other. Likewise, a single person should seek someone who has a covenant with God above all.
And in a marriage, there are three things to always remember: promises must be kept, be faithful to each other, and know your responsibilities.
The Marriage Celebration 2026 was a blessing to the singles and most especially to the couples, who made and renewed their vows to each other before God—the main witness of their covenant.
As it says in Malachi 2:14, “Because the Lord has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, with whom you have dealt treacherously; yet she is your companion and your wife by covenant."

Through the Lord’s Supper, we were reminded that through the body and blood of Jesus, and through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we also make a covenant with God and become One with Him. This same unity must also be present in marriage.
In marriage, there is no longer “I”—there is “us.”

“It was a great privilege for us to be part of the Marriage Celebration—to exchange our vows and receive God’s blessings in this place where we first met. I have come to understand that my husband needs my respect, and that I must believe in him and be his number one supporter.” — Lovelyn Supreno Araneta
