A Meaningful Hospital Visit: The Power of Prayer in Times of Sickness

On Sunday, December 14 the EVG group gathered its volunteers for a very special visit to East Avenue Medical Center.

They dedicated their afternoon to pass hope, faith and love to patients and their relatives who have been discouraged due to a health problem.

Unfortunately, many of the patients face not only physical sickness but also spiritual struggles; negative feelings, regrets, resentment, unresolved inner conflicts, etc…

This experience clearly showed that healing is not only physical but also spiritual. Through prayer and sharing the Word of God, the EVG volunteers were able to bring comfort, hope, and encouragement.

Many patients and their families expressed gratitude, and despite critical conditions, they were reminded that nothing is impossible for God. Some even shared their desire to attend the Simbahang Universal, not only for healing but because they thirst for God’s presence in their lives.

“As a volunteer, I saw that most of the people in the hospital are very hopeless. But when we shared the Word of God and prayed for them—they were revived. They realized that there is still hope, because God is alive and He listens to our prayers. As a volunteer, we should always do this. Those who have the desire to help should also join us, because there are so many people who are suffering. It is always my pleasure to do the work of God.” - Feedback from one of the volunteers
