ABOUT
It’s no secret that the world is going through challenging times. We only need to glance at the headlines to see wars, violence, financial struggles and a growing sense of uncertainty spreading across the globe. With so much turmoil, many people find themselves searching for peace, but often coming up empty.
However, true peace does exist. It’s not the kind of peace that comes and goes depending on circumstances, or the temporary relief that the world offers. This peace is different – it comes from above.
As the Lord Jesus Himself said: “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
We all face problems, but the kind of peace that transforms a person from within can only be found in God. It’s the same peace that Jesus demonstrated in the middle of a storm, when He was on a boat with His disciples. While everyone around Him panicked, Jesus slept calmly (Mark 4:35–41). That’s the peace He offers.
This coming Sunday is the “Sunday of Peace”, where we are preparing ourselves through meditating on the Word of God that gives us peace, and conclude it with the Lord’s Supper on Sunday, September 14. It’s a special opportunity to experience this peace for yourself – the peace that Jesus, the Prince of Peace, gives to those who seek Him.
If you’re longing for calm in the midst of life’s storms, we invite you to join us. Come and find the peace that truly lasts.
