The Sunday of a New Story at the Universal Church in Cebu

On Sunday, May 17, people received the opportunity to start a new story in their lives.

They also learned how to be prepared for the Day of Pentecost.

The coming of the Holy Spirit is not a coincidence; it is God showing that He comes upon those who consider Him, honor Him, and turn away from evil.

However, we must first clean the “house” which is our heart, because the Holy Spirit does not dwell in a dirty heart. There needs to be an emptying of our own "self." Our will cannot prevail in our life.

People received the opportunity to truly repent and decide to abandon sin. They also took part in the Lord’s Supper and sought the Holy Spirit with hunger, thirst, and all their strength.

As this week anticipates the Day of Pentecost, they will strive to remain focused and prepare their inner self, by being in spirit of prayer and removing everything that has prevented them from having a closer relationship with God.

Thursday: 7pm

Saturday: 9am

Sunday: 10am (with the VYG Hangout at 2pm)
