Envy is a displeasure caused by the happiness or prosperity of others. Those who possess this feeling carry with them an immense desire to have what does not belong to them and is not rightfully theirs.

And many problems we face daily may not be caused by our actions, but rather by the envy of others.

“For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.” — James 3:16

Envy is a dark feeling that has devastated the lives of many people and their families. An envious person may walk beside you, praise your work or family, and comment on your photos, while deep down, they may desire your downfall and everything you possess.

Envy is harmful to both the victim and the person who harbors it. But it can stop affecting you because God’s Word guarantees your protection from it: “No evil shall befall you…” (Psalm 91:10)

This Friday, August 14 at 7pm, we will begin the Friday of Combating Envy. Friday is a day to fight against darkness. Do not allow the works of evil to defeat you.

Join us in this strong purpose of prayer to end, once and for all, the works of envy in your life.

Here at the Holy Ground, General Roxas Avenue, Araneta City, Cubao.
