The event “My Family at the Foot of the Cross” was a remarkable day

The event “My Family at the Foot of the Cross” was a remarkable day, gathering many people who united in faith to surrender their lives and families at the Foot of the Cross.

There were people who had family members sick, in prison, lost in addiction, following a wrong path, families who had been divided because of past problems, amongst many other situations, but when they surrendered their loved ones at the Foot of the Cross, they became at peace and assured that God had already transformed them.

All those present also learnt the true meaning of the Cross. It represents Jesus’ complete surrender for us, and that same surrender is what God desires for each one of us.

“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23

We all have the opportunity to surrender our lives to God. But many people ask, “How can we surrender our lives to Him?”

To surrender our lives to Jesus is to deny our own will. When we keep doing what we want, we often end up in a place we don't want to be.

Jesus surrendered His life on the Cross not only to save us from disease, poverty, and family problems, but most importantly, for the salvation of our souls. With this, we understand that if we want real joy and true peace, it’s not enough to surrender our problems at the Cross, but it is necessary to allow Jesus to reign in our lives.

The change begins with us, and consequently, it will reflect on our family also. They should see God in us—and for that to happen, we must have the Spirit of God within us.

It was an opportunity of salvation for all those present.
