The Blessing for the Family

“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

Before declaring this commitment for his family, Joshua made the personal decision to serve God. In doing so, he took responsibility for leading his household in the same path of faith and passing this teaching on to future generations.

This Sunday, July 26 at 10am, families will come together to receive a special blessing, especially for the families of the assistants but also for all families.

This is an opportunity to present our families to God, strengthen the faith in our homes, and seek His protection over our loved ones. Amid the challenges faced at home and the uncertainties of the modern world, this purpose emphasizes that true transformation in the family begins when it is placed in the hands of God.

Another biblical example of this is Cornelius, a Roman centurion from Caesarea described as a devout man who feared God with all his household (Acts 10:1–2). His faith, prayers, and commitment to God influenced his entire family. As a result of his faith and obedience, God revealed His plan of salvation to his household, and they received the Holy Spirit after hearing the message preached by the Apostle Peter (Acts 10:44–48). Cornelius' story reminds us that the salvation for the entire family is possible when one person takes the initiative and lays down a foundation of faith.

Just as God brought salvation to Cornelius' household, He can do the same for your family.
