The Bible Study of the Firstborn of Zion

“But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect.” Hebrews 12:22-23

In Hebrews 12:18–23, two mountains are presented, each representing a different spiritual condition.

On one side is Mount Sinai: the “mountain that may be touched,” with fire, darkness, tempest, and a Voice so intense that the people begged not to hear it anymore.

On the other side is Mount Zion: “the city of the living God,” the heavenly Jerusalem, an innumerable company of angels, the general assembly, and the “church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven.”

This contrast is not merely a historical reminder; it is a revelation about those born of the flesh and those born of the Spirit—and about those who truly remain steadfast with God until the end.

Last Wednesday, we began the Bible Study of the Firstborn of Zion, and it continues this Wednesday, July 29, in every Universal Church.

In recent Wednesday Bible studies, we learned about the signs of the Day of the Lord. But knowing the signs is not enough—we must also be prepared.

We need to ensure that our names are registered in heaven, not only today but until the end of our lives.
