Sunday of the Unanswered Requests

There are times in life when we pray with all our heart—sometimes with tears, sometimes in desperation—but it feels like nothing happens.
Many of us quietly ask, “Why isn’t God answering me?”
The Bible reminds us that God hears every person. (1 John 5:14)
He listens to every word, thought, and cry for help. But His answers don’t always come when we want them, or in the way we expect. Sometimes His answer is different from what we hoped for, and other times it doesn’t happen at the time we want.
What feels like silence is often God working in ways we don’t see or understand—a feeling everyone can relate to.
That’s why this coming Sunday will be the “Sunday of Unanswered Requests.” Everyone has experienced at least one prayer that seemed unanswered. On this day, we will talk honestly about this and seek the understanding only God can give.
For some, unanswered prayers have become a source of pain or doubt. Feeling disappointed, they may drift away from faith, thinking God has forgotten them. These feelings are more common than we realize, and often go unspoken.
This Sunday, instead of stepping back, we will choose to draw closer. We will bring our requests, frustrations, and deepest questions to God. It will be a time to reconnect, find clarity, and remember that He is always listening.
We invite you to join us this Sunday at your nearest Simbahang Universal. Come with an open heart, and let’s learn to trust God even when answers seem delayed. You don’t have to face these situations alone.
Now is the time to rise, pray in faith, and embrace what God has prepared for you.
