Sunday of the Blessing for the Family in Iloilo

On this last Sunday of July, people from different parts of Panay Island gathered with their families in one spirit of faith at the Universal Church in Iloilo. Families were consecrated and received prayers and blessings for protection.

Every one of us has faith—the faith to transform our family, prosper, receive healing, and be saved. However, not everyone uses that faith. Many continue to accept what the devil is trying to do in their lives instead of standing against it.

The people understood that in order to overcome their problems, take hold of God's promises, and see transformation in their lives, they must use the faith God has given them. They must put their faith into action and live out what they believe.

“What I learned from the service is that when you do not obey God and do not have Him with you, your enemy—sin—will overcome you. That is why you cannot overcome the problems in your life, because you are unwilling to leave behind your sin or the enemy that is holding you back.

However, if you obey God and He is with you, you will be able to overcome all your enemies. This is what happened to David. Because he trusted and obeyed God, he and his men were able to conquer the stronghold of Zion.
