“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
We must have faith like Joshua—faith that leads both us and our families to serve the Lord. But for this to happen, you must be the first one to serve Him. The salvation of your family starts with you.
But why is there such urgency to fight for the salvation of our family?
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Matthew 24:36-37
No one knows the day or the hour of the Lord Jesus’ return. He has given us signs, but if someone tells you that Jesus will come on a specific day and hour, do not believe it, because it is not true.
In the days of Noah, people lived their lives as if the world would last forever. In the same way today, many people focus only on what they will eat, drink, where they will work, what they will study, or where they will go on holiday. They are not thinking about the eternity of their soul.
It is not wrong to study, work, build a family, travel, or have dreams. What is wrong is living as if we will remain here forever. None of us will live here forever—not even this world.
Whether we like it or not, death can come at any time and in any form. We do not have to be old or near death for it to happen. Death is part of life. The real problem is living this life without considering the destination of our soul.
Even though there are signs, many people still cannot see them. They are paying attention to everything happening in the world, yet they ignore what Jesus already prophesied.
Jesus is coming. He is coming to take His church to be with Him. And the church is not a denomination or a building. The church is everyone who believes, repents, turns away from sin, surrenders their life to Him, and lives according to the Word of God.
We are not perfect, but we must live by what is written.
We are living in the days Jesus spoke about. He said there would be the beginning of sorrows, and the world will not get better. Wars will continue to arise, and things will grow worse because what is written will happen.
Where will you find peace?
Where will you find hope?
Where will you find strength to overcome each day?
Only in the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, repentance is the path that leads to the Kingdom of God—the Kingdom of God within you through the Holy Spirit.
