Bishop Jean Paul and his wife, Mrs. Marcia, had a missionary visit to our Universal Church in Malaysia last Thursday, April 16.
During the Love Therapy Seminar, people learned how childhood experiences can impact their love life. It’s not just about what has influenced us in childhood, but how and to what extent it affects us.
As it says in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” This shows that what we learn in childhood stays with us throughout our lives, whether good or bad—until transformation comes through the power of God.
We cannot blame our parents for the experiences we have gone through, but transformation is possible when a person is born again—becoming like a child spiritually. By humbling ourselves and asking God for direction and guidance, we can change and learn how to be a better husband or wife to our partner. “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3-4 The soul winners were also blessed through a discipleship meeting. They learned the three steps that help determine if a person has truly been saved and is ready to lead others to salvation: repentance, water baptism, and baptism with the Holy Spirit. To guide others, a soul winner must also have the assurance of their own salvation, which begins with true repentance. “From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
