Kingdom of Light vs. Kingdom of Darkness

There are two powerful forces at work in the world since the fall of man: the kingdom of darkness and, since the coming of Jesus, the kingdom of light.
Some walk in the light and some walk in the darkness.
If you look around, you can see there is so much injustice and suffering.
The suffering people experience is not because of God, but because of the devil, who comes to steal, kill, and destroy.
Because of sin—the root of all evil—there are injustices and many problems in families and in the world. The world has been in darkness since the fall of man, since Adam and Eve sinned. And as humanity multiplied, darkness multiplied.
That’s why, the Lord Jesus came to counteract the kingdom of darkness.
“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.’” John 8:12
It is not about natural light, but about spiritual light that enlightens people’s minds. Satan has blinded people’s minds so that they may not understand God’s plan of salvation.
If you want to live under the kingdom of light, you must follow Jesus, not be religious. You must serve Jesus, not yourself. You must do the will of God, not your own will.
God doesn't want us to be bound by religion. God wants us to obey His Word.
For obedience to the Word of God is what saves us.
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24
Choose life. Choose God. Choose obedience. Choose to walk in the light—and choose to be the light.
“You are the light of the world.” Matthew 5:14
If you have the light of Jesus in you, which is the Holy Spirit, you will bring light wherever you go. Darkness will not remain, and you will make a difference.
God is counting on each one of us to light up this world.
