Journey of Faith towards the Campaign of Israel on Mount Zion


Mount Zion is where a human kingdom gave way to an eternal Kingdom.

 

Originally located in Jerusalem, in the area of the ancient City of David, it later came to include the Temple Mount as the city expanded.

 

It is a place of immense spiritual significance.

 

In Abraham's time, it was called Salem, the kingdom of Melchizedek, who was not only a king but also a priest of God. When the people of Israel left Egypt, the place had already received another name: Jebus, inhabited by the Jebusites.

 

Jerusalem was one of the cities God gave to the children of Israel, but it was one of the few they were unable to conquer.

 

On Mount Zion stood an impregnable fortress.

 

The Jebusites considered that fortress so secure that they challenged David, believing it would be impossible for him to take the city.

 

But King David knew that with God nothing is impossible. From that moment on, Zion became the seat of the kingdom.

 

Yet, what David desired most was for God to be in that place. Therefore, he brought the Ark of the Covenant there, the symbol of God's presence among His people.

 

Mount Zion welcomed the true King of Israel and of all the earth.

 

Years later, the Temple was built to the north, and the Ark found a new dwelling place.

 

The entire region, from the City of David to the Temple Mount, became the Mountain of the Lord, the Holy Mountain, the place where He Himself chose to dwell with His people—a symbol of His presence and His Eternal Kingdom.

 

There lies the promise of deliverance and salvation.

From there, the Lord Jesus will reign over all the earth.

From Mount Zion comes the call to repentance.

And from that same place comes the warning of judgment— the Day of the Lord is near.

 

And on the Mountain of the Lord, whoever seeks may find the King and the Kingdom that will never end.

 

Today, Monday, June 22, we begin the Journey of Faith towards the Campaign of Israel on Mount Zion.

 

The chance to change the course of your life. A journey toward a life with purpose and one filled with the Holy Spirit.

“And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls.” Joel 2:32
