The Purpose of the 122 Days: Taking Care of God’s House

On September 1^st, the Universal Church began the Purpose of the 122 Days: Taking Care of God’s House, which will continue through the final months of 2026. This purpose is based on Psalm 122, in which King David expressed his love for the House of the Lord.

Why is this important?

Many people follow services and messages through online broadcasts. However, this experience does not replace being physically present in the House of God. The Lord Jesus Himself demonstrated reverence for His Father's House during His time on Earth (John 2:16-17), reinforcing the importance of valuing this place of worship, prayer, and faith.

How does this purpose work?

This purpose encourages you to remain consistent in attending the services every Sunday and Wednesday until the end of the year, with a total of 17 Sundays during this period. It also invites you to pray for the peace of the Church, for the bishops and pastors, and for the salvation of souls around the world. Above all, remain faithful at the Altar by presenting your tithes and firstfruits with joy, demonstrating that God comes first in your life.

The direct impact on your life

When you prioritize the interests of God, you also learn to trust Him and place your life in His hands. Psalm 122:6 declares, “…May those who love you prosper.” This passage highlights the connection between loving the House of God and trusting in His promises.

David showed great dedication to the House of God and prepared resources for the construction of the Temple. Later, his son Solomon continued this work.
