“It was hard for me because my husband got angry with me, my business was bankrupt, and eventually, I lost my store”

FAMILY TRANSFORMATION & FINANCES

Before I joined the Simbahang Universal, I was struggling because of my child and my husband. During that time, whenever I go to church, I would feel peace there—but when I come home, my husband was hosting drinking sessions.

I was going to church, but every time I come home, I had to serve my husband in his addiction. That’s when I learned about the faith of Hannah.

I remember praying to God, “My God, I am serving You faithfully, but why do I feel like I’m serving Satan at home? I serve You in church, but when I return home, I cook, entertain, and provide for my husband and his friends who drink.”

Then, God asked me to make a sacrifice. It was very difficult because He asked me to give up my business—which is selling alcohol and cigarettes. I struggled with that, because I was sharing the Word of God, telling people that their life could change but at the same time, I was the one sustaining the needs of my husband for his addiction. It was hard for me because my husband got angry with me, my business was bankrupt, and eventually, I lost my store.

But God remained faithful. In less than a week, I saw changes in my husband. He could no longer drink expensive alcohol or even smoke cigarettes. He said that he couldn’t believe because the smell made his head ache and the alcohol made him dizzy. I told him, “This is the power of God.”

I made many sacrifices and I truly felt God’s presence.

Just last year, my family faced financial struggles. We nearly lost our house and our car. But during that difficult time, God spoke to us. As a family, we held hands and surrendered everything to God’s altar. Amazingly, within one month, everything was restored.

God blessed us beyond what we expected—He restored our finances, strengthened our health, and most importantly, my whole family was called to serve Him. Even my husband is now serving God.

Through it all, I’ve learned that when you are faithful to God, He will surely be faithful to you.
