"I pretended to be happy, but when I was alone, I felt heavy and empty inside."

Life Transformation

Before coming to the Simbahang Universal, I lived a very messy life. I was full of anger and emptiness, trying to find happiness in friends—mostly boys—and in nightlife, drinking, and parties. I pretended to be happy, but when I was alone, I felt heavy and empty inside.

I entered different relationships, including with a boyfriend and later with a girlfriend whom I lived with for three years. I thought these relationships would fill the void, but instead, they brought more confusion, fear, and spiritual darkness. I even kept my life as a secret from my family because I believed I didn’t need them.

My addictions worsened—drinking, pornography—and even though I went to church sometimes, I continued doing wrong things. Eventually, I became very sick with a condition passed down from my family. I went through six infections and surgery, spent all my savings on medicine, and lived in constant fear. When the sickness came back, I questioned God.

My sister invited me to church again and told me, “You can’t die yet because you haven’t given your life to God.” Those words struck me. I went to the altar and said, “If You are the true God, heal me.” I used the Holy water and Holy oil with faith and started reading the Bible. After seven days, God healed me completely. That was when I realized that God is real and that my soul matters.

During the Campaign of Israel, God asked me to surrender what I depended on the most—my savings and my relationship with my bisexual partner. It was painful, but I obeyed. I didn’t receive the Holy Spirit immediately, but I felt peace because I gave to God everything He asked for.

Six months later, on December 25, I received the Holy Spirit. He gave me peace, assurance, and a new life. God restored me—not only financially or in my family, but in every area of my life. All my sacrifices were worth it. Today, I have the greatest treasure: God’s presence and the Holy Spirit.
