On Saturday, December 20, Bishop John Paul had a missionary visit in our Universal Church in Hong Kong, where people learned about the importance of repentance.
Repentance is not merely a temporary feeling of sorrow—it is a decision that leads to action and real change.
When we are led by our emotions and our heart, we suffer, because we are not reasoning in the decisions and actions we take.
Everything you want to change in your life requires a decision.
Repentance is a turning point: when we turn away from the old life and get baptized in water, God responds with the gift of the Holy Spirit.
“Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” Acts 2:38
True change begins with repentance – and is completed by the Holy Spirit, bringing forgiveness, renewal, and a new life.
