Unisocial brings relief and hope to families in Tarlac
On Wednesday, September 9, the Unisocial team in Tarlac reached out to families living along the river in Barangay Carangian. Essential food packs were distributed to help meet their immediate physical needs, while the team also shared a message of faith and eternal hope through the Word of God.
For families facing the aftermath of a typhoon and flooding, receiving food and other essential supplies can provide much-needed relief. At the same time, the team emphasized that beyond our physical needs, we also need spiritual nourishment. The Word of God brings hope, strength, and direction, helping us face difficulties with faith and trust in Him.
Relief supplies will eventually run out, but God’s promises remain forever. Through His Word, these families were reminded that they can have an unwavering foundation in God—one that no flood or storm can ever wash away.
Along with receiving relief items, the community came together for a time of prayer, receiving spiritual support and the living Word that renewed their faith and peace.
One of those who received help, Gyhan Olaso, shared how difficult the situation had been for her family:
“It was really hard for us because our house got flooded, and we couldn't work for weeks because of the typhoon. Two bridges broke, so going to the market now takes one hour instead of just 15 minutes.
Unisocial helped us a lot by giving physical needs and reminding us how great our God is above all challenges and problems. It also helped us to spend less money on food because it's hard to work with the broken bridges. Transportation fares and food prices are now high because of the situation here in our city caused by the typhoon.”
For the Unisocial team, the outreach was more than simply providing relief. It was an opportunity to stand alongside people going through a difficult season, meet some of their immediate needs, and remind them that they are not alone.
Through practical help, prayer, and the Word of God, the families were encouraged to look beyond their present circumstances and place their hope in God.
