Couples and singles gathered on Saturday, October 31, for The Love Walk 2026 — a worldwide event that takes place every year to promote intelligent love.

It was a remarkable moment for married couples, dating couples and singles who had the opportunity to get to know someone.

Over 2,000 people participated throughout the country. In the capital, Manila, the event took place at Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife Centre.

During the lecture, Bishop Jean and his wife Marcia shared the secret to a successful love life.

“Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” (Amos 3:3)

The participants learned that communication is not only about talking, but mainly about listening and understanding the other person.

Singles were also encouraged to come out of their comfort zone and approach someone to talk to and get to know them better through the questionnaire.

While interviewing couples, we met Emilia and Erwin Tolentino who shared how important the Love Walk is for them.

“Every year, the Love Walk is an opportunity for us to invest in our marriage. We are often busy due to our work. And this helps us to talk about the things that we need to fix. It’s an opportunity for us to talk and listen more, and for us to understand each other more. Through the Love Walk, the bond we have became stronger.”

We also met a couple who are dating, and it was their first time doing the Love Walk together.

"This event is important to me because it gives me the opportunity to get to know her on a deeper

level and discover what we like and dislike for the future." — Juliven Sanchez Jr.

"The questionnaire is important because it serves as a guide to help us get to know one another beyond the surface level and explore deeper aspects of each other's lives, and it is also an opportunity to reflect on ourselves. This is our first love walk together, and it helped to know each other more." — Janine Agustin

Lastly, we met a young lady who is single and shared with us how important the Love Walk is for her future.

"I have been participating in the Love Walk for four years, and I can see how important it is. Not only for couples, but also for us singles, who are preparing for the future marriage we desire. I have learned about the importance of communication, being open, and understanding the other person. But above all, I should know and understand myself more. The event lasts only one day, but for me, it is an important step towards learning, growing, and preparing myself for the future." — Khryzza Guillermo
