“I WANT TO CHANGE, BUT I CAN'T" - TWO THINGS YOU'RE MISSING

I want to, but I can't leave behind the wrong things that I do, that I have, I change for two days and go back to everything I was before. I see other people doing extraordinary things and giving testimonies about their transformation. What's missing for me?"

In the law of physics, for you to move an object, a body, a mass, you have to apply more force than the object's weight. If you are going to move a 10 kg chair, you have to apply at least 10.1 kg of force. If you only apply 10 kg the chair will not move. This is how it is with anybody, to move a body you have to apply a force greater than its weight.

On the street when the car stops and the driver gets out, and ask for 3 to 4 men to move the car, so they have to put in more force than the car's weight. In life, it's also like that, everything you want to move, taking out of its current state, you need to use more force than that problem offers you.

That's the reason why your life changes for a few days, you can stop practicing some addictions, stop doing something wrong for a while, but you end up doing it again because you're not applying a greater force, this is the reason, deep down what you most want to do is continue that practice than stop.

Pornography in fact you just want to take one more look, this ‘only today’ is greater than the desire to stop. What you put the most strength in is what will win. You are lacking two things, first: you have to leave your fail reasoning, the word of God says, "no temptation is greater than we can bear, God is faithful and does not allow sin to be greater than our strength to resist", the person wants to stop lying, but he can't, in fact he can, because the word of God guarantees that.

The person is convinced that this is bigger than he is, these are defeatist words, prophecies that come true, he says it's too hard and he won't even try, the first thing is to change the way of thinking, it is possible for you to apply more force than your problem. God is Faithful. "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." (1 Corinthians 10:13).

God gave this power to human beings, "If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” Genesis 4:7. The second thing I'm going to tell you, after you can read Hebrews 12:4, "You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. " What is it to resist to bloodshed? The blood we know is life, putting as much as strength is needed to overcome sin, this word speaks of a fight.

The fight against sin requires bloodshed, once animals paid for sin. Today God wants you to overcome temptation, things that are bad require you to make an effort, denying your will, do you think the person changes overnight? Do you think these success stories were easy? There was a sacrifice, a denying, resisting, not doing, swallowing pride, but you resist sin, against your will, stab your body and blood comes out.

You don't change because you don't want to shed blood, you don't want to make an effort, you don't go to the blood, you go to the limit, that's why he doesn't change. Think of a pregnant woman giving birth, everything tells us that the labor pain is horrible, she screams, there is a delivery that can take 10 hours. She knows that even though she is in pain, if she doesn't go through that pain, the child can die and so can she. She ignores all pain and the child is born, so it has to be with you.

Deny your will in favor of what you want to change, now you understand why you can't change, just put all your strength into it.
